As the audio visual supplier we knew that honouring special people requires a really special set and the Monarch suite of the Hilton Metropole at the NEC enabled us to be really imaginative.
We created an intimate atmosphere with 40 tables surrounding a 6m x 6m raised dance floor. This was in addition to the main stage and twin large screens.
The twin screens relayed all the action and the presentations ensuring that everyone was involved throughout the day.
Star attractions, the South Aftrican Strictly Come Dancing pair of Ryan Hammond and Lindsey Muckle took to the centre stage ensuring the audience of a great view as the pair lit up the dance floor.
And the winners were...
...Julie White, The managing director of Shilton-headquartered D-Drill was crowned Business Woman of the Year 2011. She was praised for modernising her drilling business, increasing turnover and signing D-Drill up to an apprenticeship scheme.
The Woman of Achievement award went to Lucy Shuker, Britain’s number one wheelchair tennis player. She received the illustrious award in recognition of her inspirational achievements in the world of disabled sport, having overcome being paralysed from the chest down following a motorbike accident in 2001.
