Conferences: Insurer seeks our help

Initially planning to do it all 'in house' the team at one of the largest rural insurers in the UK quickly realised outside help was needed.

The brief

With 270 delegates to cater to, a multitude of company messages to convey, and a lot of differing opinions to balance and respond to, they approached us at The Challenge Factor.

Our solution

In the group manager's own words, here's how we addressed their brief:

"When we first discussed the idea of an IT conference for all 270 of our staff, we thought we could do this ourselves - after all, how hard could it be? But after taking advice from our marketing colleagues we bowed to the pressure and invited Geoff and The Challenge Factor to help us to produce the most innovative and professional event that our company had ever witnessed. The result was an event where nobody spoke for more than 20 minutes and the audience voted through voting pads on who they wanted to hear and which speakers most impressed. Questions were delivered to the stage via table laptops and were responded to immediately, giving everybody a say. Geoff and his team helped to pull it all together, from presentation coaching to script analysis, from video to voting pads. And the end result... A huge success... and the team are still talking about it."
